Don’t Miss Out on PEEPSFEST!

The annual PEEPSFEST is back for another year, right by Allentown in nearby Bethlehem. This festival is perfectly timed to give you the chance to celebrate the New Year and will provide fun over the course of two days.

Dates and Times

This year’s PEEPSFEST will be on Dec. 30 and 31, which this year fall on a Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the event goes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, it starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 5:30 p.m. The event is at the SteelStacks, so you should be able to find it with ease.

Watch the PEEPS Drop

One of the best parts of the annual PEEPSFEST is the PEEPS Chick Drop. At 5:15 p.m., a 200-pound PEEPS Chick that measures four feet and nine inches tall will drop. This is similar to the New Year’s Eve ball drop done in New York City, but with a PEEP and at a time that the entire family, including kids, can enjoy. While it doesn’t drop at the beginning of the new year, it does commemorate the start of a new one.

Participate in the PEEPSFEST 5k

In addition to the other festivities, the event includes a PEEPSFEST 5k. This will be on Dec. 31, starting at 1 p.m. For the ninth annual version of this race, there is also a One Mile Fun Run for those who don’t want to do a full 5k but still want to get involved. Registration is $30 if you do so before Dec. 17, at which point it goes up to $35.

The race will go throughout Bethlehem, including on the south and north sides. It begins and ends on the SteelStacks Campus. The One Mile Fun Run starts at 12:45 p.m. and is the day before the 5k, on Dec. 30. Registration for that race is $15. The fun run isn’t timed, but everyone who participates gets a goodie bag from Just Born. For the 5k, all participants get samples of products from PEEPS. If you are one of the first 500 people to register, you will get an official PEEPS Fest 5k T-shirt that is long-sleeved. Following the 5k, there is an awards ceremony on the TD Bank Community Stage, starting at about 2:15 p.m.

Enter the PEEPSONALITY Contest

You can also make a PEEP-tastic outfit and win the PEEPSONALITY Contest. The person with the best costume will take home the grand prize, which will have a PEEPS theme. The winners will be announced on the TD Bank Stage at 2 p.m.

When PEEPSFEST arrives, hop in your vehicle from Scott Family of Dealerships and make the drive from Allentown, Pennsylvania, to the SteelStacks in Bethlehem to celebrate.
