Mazda CX-5 Trim Comparison: Sport vs. Touring vs. Grand Touring!

Mazda CX-5 Allentown

Once you choose to make the Mazda CX-5 your next SUV for daily drives around Allentown and Bethlehem, you will have a few important decisions to make. You will have to figure out which of the three trim levels is right for you. Then you will need to pick between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, which is an option for all trims.

Mazda CX-5 Sport

Sticking to the base CX-5 Sport trim will give you the standard 2-liter 4-cylinder engine with 155 horsepower. You can also upgrade to have the 184-horsepower, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is standard on higher trims. Every single Mazda CX-5 comes with air conditioning, full power accessories, height adjustment for the driver, cruise control, a 60/40-split and folding rear seat, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. Standard technology includes Bluetooth for audio and phone, four speakers, a USB/iPod interface, an auxiliary audio jack, and a CD player. In addition, the exterior has 17-inch wheels.

When you upgrade to the 2.5-liter engine and automatic transmission for the CX-5 Sport, you automatically get a 7-inch touchscreen, HD radio, a multifunction controller knob, Pandora internet radio, SMS text reading, voice controls for the audio system, and automatic crash notification. While Pennsylvania roads are generally pretty safe, it never hurts to have extra safety features. Depending on when your CX-5 was made, the rearview camera may also be standard.

Mazda CX-5 Touring

The Mazda CX-5 Touring trim builds on the Sport with the 2.5-liter engine. It adds convenience via the keyless entry and ignition and fog lights. Safety is enhanced thanks to the rear cross-traffic and blind spot warning systems. The rear seat splits 40/20/40 and still folds, and there is upgraded upholstery. In addition, the driver’s seat gets 6-way power, and the passenger seat gets height adjustment. This trim also comes standard with six speakers and leather on the steering wheel.

You can customize the CX-5 Touring with the Moonroof and Bose Audio package, giving you nine speakers of Bose sound and a sunroof.
