As remnants of Hurricane Harvey and the after-effects of extremely dangerous flooding continue to directly impact many of our dealer partners, customers and their families, as well as Mazda employees in Mazda’s Gulf Region Office located in the suburbs of Houston, we’ve observed countless efforts by private citizens and disaster relief organizations to provide relief for those directly impacted by the devastation caused by this natural disaster.
To aide in their effort, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) and the Mazda Foundation has announced a combined, immediate contribution of an additional $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund. This money will inject immediate funds to support their relief efforts in Texas.
As many of you are aware, MNAO and the Mazda Foundation have been long-term partners of the American Red Cross. Through contributions gathered during the Mazda Drive for Good program, as well as additional resources provided to organization, MNAO continues to be a $1 million member of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP). As an ADGP member, Mazda’s donation of money and vehicle resources ensure that the Red Cross has the necessary resources to respond to disasters large and small, helping people whenever and wherever it is needed.
