This season is full of events at Bucks Country. One reason why there is so much to do is because of Peddler’s Village. Peddler’s Village has always been one of the best things to do for the past 55 years. Check out these two early holiday events in November and start making plans to attend, today.
Kick off the Holidays
The first event of November will be the kickoff to the holidays, taking place on November 10. Experience lots of fun for three hours, starting at 6:00 p.m. Additionally, shops at Peddler’s Village will stay open until 9 p.m. Admission and parking are both free. So, you can join in on the fun without having to break the bank! There will be plenty of caroling, mini-lightings, and festive fun in preparation for to the Grand Illumination Celebration on November 17.
To start things off, head out to the Mrs. Claus Holiday Party at Giggleberry Fair beginning at 6:10 P.M. At the arrival of Mrs. Claus, there will be festive snow starting at Bank of America and Post Office Green. You’ll have a chance to talk to Santa’s wife, and you can even take selfies at 6:15. Time will be allotted to each person so that everyone can write out their Christmas wish list. Oh, and don’t forget to give her your list once you are done. That way, she can pass it over to Santa once she arrives back at the North Pole.
Refreshments will include hot chocolate and hot cider free of charge to keep you warm.
Become a Christmas Helper
Mrs. Claus needs your help! Along with Santa’s elves, you can give back by crafting for free. Once your masterpiece is done, the tree ornament will be placed to hang on a tree at Giggleberry Fair. Santa will be well pleased with all of the hard work everyone has put in once he arrives.
To end, there will be a tree lighting at Giggleberry Fair. After an hour of meet and greet, Ms. Claus will lead everyone into Giggleberry Fair to enjoy a Christmas sing-a-long and festive snacks. This will continue until she has to go home to Santa at the North Pole at around 9 P.M.
Grand Illumination Celebration
Carrying over from the week prior, the fun continues with the Grand Illumination Celebration. Santa will finally arrive! On November 17, from the same time as the week before, shops will open until 10 P.M. Enjoy the annual gingerbread competition and display. Once again, there will be free entry and parking.
Beginning at 6:15, get ready for a countdown ceremony on the Main Green. From there, Santa and Mrs. Claus will kick things off, turning on one million holiday lights that will transfigure the entire Village into a dreamy winter experience.
After the kickoff, there will be apple cider, roasted marshmallows over an open fire, and talented local musicians and school choirs performing. Enjoy your favorite holiday songs throughout the night and take pictures with Santa.
Finally, take time to enjoy the Gingerbread Competition & Display for your entertainment. There will be more than 50 creative entries for the exhibit at Village Gazebo.
