The holidays are stressful. Between decorating, picking out presents for your loved ones, cooking, cleaning, and everything else that comes with this time of the year, it’s easy to forget the meaning of the season and become tired and grouchy. When you’re starting to feel this way, you may just need to get out of the house for a little while to watch a rendition of the popular holiday story “A Christmas Carol.”

A Christmas Carol

This story is all about embracing what Christmas really means. It’s not about getting presents, having parties, or even all that delicious food you’ll be cooking. It’s all about spending time with friends and family and being grateful for what you have. And when you come see “A Christmas Carol,” you’ll be reminded of this fact. It’s a beautiful story for kids and adults alike, so everything can get something out of this show. Read up on the details about where you can catch this play in the Allentown area. Then, you’ll have something fun to do to help you unwind from all of the holiday-related stress you’ve been feeling.

The Details

You may be wondering when and where you can catch this play. That’s easy. Simply come to the Civic Theatre in Allentown. That’s where you’ll be able to see this wonderful performance. There are several days you can choose from, so pick what’s most convenient for you. From Dec. 1 through Dec. 16, there will be shows on Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. That means you can go get dinner before the show and then settle in. Or, you could also see a 2 p.m. show on Dec. 3, 9, 10, or 16. It’s really up to you to decide when the best time to go is.

Ticket prices largely depend on when you want to come see the performance and how old you are. Children 13 and under pay the least, students and seniors get a discount, and regular admission costs the most. However, the tickets sell for between $13 and $29, so it shouldn’t be too expensive if you want to take the whole family along. Just remember that there is a $3 processing fee and that Civic Theatre members save a whole $5 off their tickets.
